ELISA RHODES
Architect

BA(Hons), MArch, ARB

Elisa joined WTA in 2024, bringing with her seven years of experience working in architectural practices across London. During her time there, she worked on various commercial projects and also led several private residential projects, often navigating sensitive or complex sites for high-profile clients. She delivered the majority of these while completing her masters and diploma at LSBU.

Elisa completed her undergraduate degree at Falmouth University in 2017, where she developed an interest in place through heritage and landscape. This continued throughout her education, influencing her Masters studies in which her final project, which advocated for good health and well being through environmental awareness, was featured in Dezeen.

After relocating to Edinburgh, Elisa undertook and led the renovation of her own home in the Abbeyhill Colonies, through which contemporary design sits sympathetically within the historical context of the building. Her work focuses on longevity and a deep-rooted connection to place.

Elisa enjoys creating beautiful, thoughtful architecture through a careful, considerate choice of materials as well as the creative problem-solving that comes with designing in response to existing buildings and sensitive surroundings. At WTA, Elisa is currently working on a new highly sustainable, contemporary family home in the Scottish Borders.
